A phased sci-fi frontier project. First release: Frontier Run, a 2D merchant survival game.

Trade & Commerce

Cargo pays the bills, but every contract carries risk.

In AD Galaxy: Frontier Run, trade is the heart of survival. You command the 300-ton Frontier Trader and take jobs across dangerous frontier systems. Each contract has a destination, deadline, pay value, risk level, legal status, failure penalty, and reputation effect.

A safe job can keep the ship moving. A risky job can pay more, but it may also bring pirates, patrol inspections, cargo damage, fines, delays, or reputation loss. A profitable captain does not simply choose the highest-paying job. A profitable captain chooses the job that can be delivered before the mortgage comes due.

What the Player Does

Review contract cards before launch. Choose from five contract types:
• Cargo delivery
• Passenger delivery
• Local jobs
• Salvage jobs
• Restricted jobs
Balance cargo space, passenger slots, fuel, time, and route risk. Deliver cargo intact for full pay. Avoid late delivery penalties. Build reputation by finishing jobs successfully. Use trade routes to survive the 28-day mortgage cycle.

Roadmap Note

The first release focuses on the core trade loop: contracts, cargo, passengers, route risk, fuel, repairs, encounters, and mortgage pressure. Future updates may expand the economy with changing market prices, stronger faction influence, more trade routes, higher-risk commercial jobs, smuggling pressure, and deeper cargo demand between systems. Player promise: Every run is a business decision under pressure.
